NEWS YOU CAN USE
Colorado's rural businesses are embracing employee ownership, thanks to state incentives designed to smooth the transition.
Rocky Mountain Steel in Olathe recently became 100% employee-owned, benefiting from tax credits and a cash collateral support program offered by the Colorado Employee Ownership Office. This initiative, part of the Office of Economic Development and International Trade, provides business owners with up to $150,000 in tax credits to offset conversion costs and offers cash deposits as collateral for loans, helping employees who might struggle to meet traditional lending requirements. As more businesses explore this model, it's shaping up to be a valuable alternative for securing long-term stability and preserving local jobs across the state.

REMOTE WORK
Cumberland, a once-struggling mountain town in Western Maryland, is seeing a remarkable revival thanks to the rise of remote work. Families are flocking back, drawn by affordable housing and the town's charming outdoor lifestyle. With new businesses popping up and community efforts in full swing, Cumberland is reclaiming its former vibrancy, offering residents a chance to build a future in a place that once seemed left behind. SOCIAL MEDIA
Meta just rolled out crossposting from Facebook and Instagram to Threads, letting you blast your updates across all three platforms in one go. While it’s a time-saver, keep in mind that what works on Facebook might not hit the same on IG or Threads. For the best results, tailor your posts to each platform—but if you’re pressed for time, crossposting could be your new best friend.
