SMALL BIZ SPOTLIGHT

SafelyYou trains AI to improve care for older adults.

SafelyYou is leveraging AI technology to enhance safety in assisted living communities by detecting and preventing falls. With funding from the NIA’s Small Business Innovation Research program, their system has shown significant success, reducing ER visits by 80% and falls by 41%. The founder, George Netscher, was personally motivated by family members affected by Alzheimer’s, which led him to develop this AI-powered system that tracks and analyzes fall data to help caregivers intervene before serious injuries occur. SafelyYou is now expanding to address other safety concerns in elder care, like assessing care needs and improving resource allocation.
